Poulnabrone Dolmen is a portal tomb in the Burren, County Clare, situated between Carran and Ballyvaughan (the lights of which can be seen in the distance). It dates back to somewhere between 4200BC and 2900BC. Polunabrone means “hole of sorrows” in Irish.
